Old Belize City Hospital
Founded in 1820, the Old Belize City Hospital’s initial purpose was to provide medical services for sick and deprived seamen involved in shipping. In 1871 the hospital later converted to a general hospital. It was not till 1871 after slavery was over that the public was able to get treatment there.

I was born there and actually stayed there twice. It wasn't even close to as bad as people used to say about it. Was pleasant for me both times

I was born at Holden Memorial Hospital but I remember Old Belize Hospita
Worked there with Dr Bennett when he first returned to Belize as a Dentist. The very end on the left was the dental clinic.
My Uncle Bian Pitts worked there also my grandaunts Erica Gibson, Hilda Pitts, Alice Pitts, Joyce Buckley, Bell Buckley and my cousin Eloise Humes was a Nurse, Dr.Lin was the dentist , B Complex was the medication that almost never made it home and Jail Bread was the best bread there. Remeniscing down the foggy mind road.
Used to go to Dr. Bennett the dentist at the little dark area at the end.
This brings back memories of me at age 7-8 delivering clean clothes to my mom in the ladies ward first floor corner. The nurse would have me stand at the door. Sometimes I could go in but not all the time.
