Medical University of the Americas, now the largest of medical schools within the country has unveiled its grand plan for the development of a University Village located across from the Victoria House Resort on the south side of the island.

    Additional plans are to develop other businesses on the property that are operated by local businessmen. Such businesses would include: a shopping center, movie theatre, faculty accommodations, laundry facilities and fitness center. This is Phase I of the project. Phase II will establish other businesses that would be beneficial to the university and the community at large. Plans are for construction in the immediate future. The University Village project expects to employ some 100+ people for the immediate construction with an estimated overall employment on the said project of nearly 200 full time employees.

    The University would like to thank the local community for supporting Medical University of the Americas co-founded by Dr. David Fredrick and Dr. Jeffrey Sersland.
